Juniors
Junior rowers at CIRC are ages 12-18.
These Juniors are divided into two teams: Novice and Varsity.
This separation is based on skill level and experience with the sport.
Our Varsity team has the opportunity to travel and compete in
Club Regattas and USRowing sanctioned events.
These races are as close as Long Beach California, and as far as Youth National Championships in Sarasota Florida.

College Opportunities Aside from the skills our rowers learn from the sport itself, rowing has the highest % of college scholarships for athletes out of any other college sport.
Channel Islands Rowers have received scholarships and
entrance to these great universities:
Columbia University, Georgetown University,
Loyola Marymount, Orange Coast College, Oregon State, UCLA,
UC Santa Barbara, Nova Southeastern University,
Cal Poly- Pomona, UC San Diego, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas, Washington State, Coastguard Academy, University of Tennessee.
